ShipKimolos is located on the southwestern edge of Cyclades. It is at a distance of 87 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus, with which is connected with conventional ships and speedboats. The distance is covered from 4.5 to 7.5 hours, depending on the ship, since it also stops at the islands Kithnos, Serifos, Sifnos and probably Milos.

The two islands, Kimolos – Milos are connected daily with many ships, open type ferry boat, traditional trawlers and speedboat taxi, with starting point Psathi, the harbor of Kimolos and ending point at Apollonia in Milos. Depending on the vessel the trip lasts from 10 to 25 minutes.

airplaneIf you are among those that are tired or disturbed by sea travel take advantage of the fact that there is an airport in Milos. Also exploit the fact the Milos, with an important port, is connected with more conventional ships and speed boats, and connections to other islands (Folegandros to Santorini) as well as the ships of the Cretan lines.

Finally, note that there is an “internal” ship, interconnecting several of the Cyclades islands, with 2 or 3 stops to Kimolos a week.
